The activity is part of joint efforts to protect more than 6,700 hectares of primary forest under community management.<\/p>\n<p>During the patrol, the team covered strategic sectors of the La Novia river basin, where community monitors carry out ongoing surveillance to prevent threats such as illegal logging. The patrol made it possible to check the state of conservation of the forest, identify critical points and reinforce territorial control in hard-to-reach areas where the presence of the State is limited.<\/p>\n<p>Sally Plaza took part on behalf of AFRONTA and highlighted the importance of working jointly with local organizations. \"This work strengthens what communities are already doing to defend their territory. Our support aims to provide technical tools so that surveillance is more effective and sustainable,\" she said.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, the president of Mabosinfron, Amancio Flores, reaffirmed the communities' commitment to protecting their resources. \"We live here and we are the first to care for our forests.
