This technical assistance was provided by the Asociaci\u00f3n Fronteras Amaz\u00f3nicas \u2013 AFRONTA through its ecosystem restoration specialist.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/afronta.org.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/nota-10-image1.webp\" alt=\"Durante el evento se abord\u00f3 el marco conceptual sobre restauraci\u00f3n de ecosistemas, donde se identific\u00f3 el enfoque, las o\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><figcaption>The session addressed the conceptual framework for ecosystem restoration, identifying the approach, guidance and decisions needed to implement rehabilitation and ecological restoration of ecosystems and ecosystem services, as well as support for the sustainable use of biodiversity. Ecosystem types and degraded areas across the department of Ucayali were also reviewed. In addition, evidence of good practice from other restoration initiatives was shared, highlighting monitoring results and impact indicators.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Drawing on the conceptual and practical restoration evidence discussed, together with the technical guidelines for ecosystem restoration, the standards of practice for effective restoration and the resource guide for implementing Target 2 of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, the team analysed the investment project for recovering degraded ecosystems in native communities in the buffer zone of the Pur\u00fas Communal Reserve, led by the Pur\u00fas Territorial Management Office, identifying the main areas for improving the design and approach of its three components.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/afronta.org.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/nota-10-image3.webp\" alt=\"Finalizamos la reuni\u00f3n con recomendaciones t\u00e9cnicas y metodol\u00f3gicas, aprendizajes relevantes que el equipo t\u00e9cnico de la\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><figcaption>The meeting concluded with technical and methodological recommendations and relevant lessons that the technical team of the Pur\u00fas Territorial Management Office will use as inputs in appraising this investment project, in order to effectively restore ecosystem health and the provision of ecosystem services for the benefit of the communities of the province of Pur\u00fas.
