We support and sustain processes of territorial defence and management together with communities, organizations and partners, with strategy, care and ethical commitment.<\/p>\n

We are a Peruvian non-profit organization established in September 2010, accredited by the Peruvian Agency for International Cooperation (APCI) and a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). We work by providing coordination, analysis and support to strengthen the defence of rights and of life, promoting the autonomy and the decisions of those who inhabit their territories.<\/p>\n

History<\/h2>\n

15 years on the road. The work is only beginning.<\/p>\n

From ProPur\u00fas to AFRONTA.<\/strong> After 15 years, ProPur\u00fas is evolving into the Asociaci\u00f3n Fronteras Amaz\u00f3nicas \u2014 AFRONTA, as part of a process of maturing and broadening our work. It is not a break, but a transformed continuity: a new cycle responding to the current challenges facing peoples and ecosystems.<\/p>\n

This new name expresses more clearly how and from where we act: facing complex realities, together with communities and partners, in territories of ecological and social frontier.<\/p>\n

Mission<\/h3>\n

To accompany Indigenous peoples, campesino communities and their organizations in the defence of their rights, strengthening processes of management, coordination and knowledge generation that contribute to their autonomy, territorial security, care of ecosystems and sustainable development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Vision to 2027<\/h3>\n

To be a point of reference in supporting territorial processes with ethical commitment, knowledge and closeness, contributing to the strengthening of native and campesino communities in building solutions to the challenges of the Amazon and the Andes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
